I have a situation where Backup Exec successfully backs up the Exchange Server. However, if you check the databases, they show that they have never been backed up.
The Setup:
Exchange 2013 CU7 on Server 2012 R2 Standard as a Guest OS on Server 2012 R2 Standard Hyper-V
Backup Exec 2014 version 14.1 rev 1786 on Server 2008 R2 Standard SP1
Background:
Backup Exec uses a separate user to authenticate, it's a member of the Domain Admins Group, and a member of the Exchange Organization. The Exchange Managment Tools are installed on the Backup Exec Server, and both servers were rebooted after. Backup Exec 2014 was upgraded from Backup Exec 2012, and Exchange is also a new install, migrated from Exchange 2003. Backup Exec is licened for Agent for Applications and Databases.
