I'm looking the best way to backup my data. I got a lot of folder (34 folder) need to be backup. Total size for all the folder is to big, currently my backup schedule is on monday, wednesday and friday, where I need to devide n backup the folder seperately. For example
Monday, folder 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 (full backup)
Wednesday, folder 8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16 (full backup)
Friday, folder 17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24 (full backup)
Next week Monday, folder 25,26,27,28,29,30 (full backup)
follow by wednesday, folder 31,32,33,34 (full backup)
n contineous back to folder 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 follow the schedule.....
I need 5 days to completely backup all my folder. I feel like very difucult to manage because monthly I need to keep 1 set of full backup. The arrangement of the backup like not consistent in a month or per week.
I planning to change the schedule 5 days per week. So in 1 week I can have 1 set of full backup. The questions now is the following week, should I do a full backup again or Differential Backup or Incremental Backup? and then i need to keep 1 set of full backup every month, atleast for 3 month. Which way is the best way actually..? and which way less backup tape needed?
Second questions, if first weeks I do Full backup, the second week I want to do differential backup, means I need 5 tape for first weeks full backup n another 5 tape for differential backup right?
Third questitons, can I do diferential backup or incremental backup weekly? means from last monday (full backup) next monday diferential or incremental backup?
