Backup Exec 2010 upgrade to 2012

Hi,

I have BE 2010. Support has already expired and my vendor told me to renew the support if I wanted to upgrade to BE 2012.

1. Is this true I can upgrade to BE 2012 if I have a valid support subscription?

2. Can I do a fresh installion of BE 2012 on a new server with a new OS? Or do I need to install BE2010  then upgrade to BE 2012?

3. Do I still need the previous BE2010 license or can I use the license of BE 2012?

4. Where do I get the license file, since this is an upgrade? As I understand if this is a new purchase the SLA file will be sent via email or can be downloaded on my symantec account.

Appreciate if anyone can point me to upgrade manual doing a fresh installation on Back up Exec 2012.
