How to configure monthly backups

Hi,

I need some advice on monthly backups. Right now, I'm running a full backup every Friday. The remaining days are incremental (Sat-Thurs).

The full backups have a data retention of 2 weeks and the incrementals are 1 week. That's all working great but if I needed to create monthly backups, can I bump the full backups up to 4 weeks and leave the incrementals were they're at? I've never understood how to handle the incrementals.

If you need more information, let me know. I want to make sure I'm covered each month.
