I'd like to request there be some load monitoring put in place on the appliances. When there's a runaway process, too many jobs are running against the appliance, a process is hung and preventing others from completing, spoold is overloaded, etc. , we should be informed so that we can investigate further.
The appliances are pretty beefy these days so overloading one is certainly harder but we do still see the ocassional usage spikes and disk access bottlenecks. It'd be nice to be automatically notified about overloads instead of having to trying to come up with monitoring parameters for a script.
