Move existing DLO clients to a new Server

Hi everyone:

Does anyone know of a document that explains how to move DLO (2010) clients from one server to another server (different name and different IP).

I've tried uninstalling the client, rebooting and the reinstalling the client from the new server but if the user had been using DLO previously then their DLO client is disabled until they open the interface and manually click refresh. That isn't good enough.
