editing bp.conf

Solaris 10, Oracle 11.2.0.3

referring to link http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/rman-script-failure-0 on RMAN error, i checked and edited bp.conf on the client.

is there any command or service i need to run after editing bp.conf? the reason is i'm still having the same issues (error 230 in NBU console).

appreciate any help.
