We've recently upgraded our tape drive from HP Ultrium 960 to HP Ultrium 1760, as the old one died. After instalation the HP software can see the tape and so does BE ver12.5. I've run Tepeinst.exe and all seems to be ok up to a point where I try to run our backups we've created using the old tape drive.
When I put blank tape run inventory and then the job it says Media is unrecognized. The media in drive is written in an unrecognized format. Erase the media to make it usable.
Unfortunatly neither quick or long erase worked, meaning the erase was successful but when I run the backup it won't run. It either stuck on "queue" or says the device is paused.
Do I need to reinstall the software when I change the drive?
Am I missing something?
