I used the SSR 2013 Recovery Point Browser to open and Verify an incremental recovery point. It executed very quickly. It appears that only the (smallish) incremental V2i file is tested for integrity, and not the complete backup chain all the way back to the baseline backup. When I Verify the baseline backup, the Verify process takes considerably longer, leading me to beleive "Verify" on an incremental is not useful to test the integrity of a backup in a full recovery scenario.
